Francis Doranth of Quality Landscape Services in Bradenton agreed that in most cases, a little landscaping goes a long way.
"You don't necessarily have to add a lot if what's there can be made presentable," Doranth said. "The trouble with many homes is that the landscaping is dated or overgrown or tacky. It's like if you went to a car lot and all the cars were dirty. Just as people are attracted to nice shiny cars, they're also attracted to clean, manicured, well-maintained landscapes."
